All good scores there, I hope the weather cooperates tomorrow to run the 254, I am in need of a top cover and clutch cover for it if anyone has any please let me know. I am planning a cosmetic makeover for it.

The 254 on the parts shelf wasn't a gem but I believe it was mostly complete. I can take a look for some parts for you. I can't remember if it has a clutch cover, maybe @RIDE-RED 350r remembers. I was busy looking for a 375K. Any parameters I should be aware of such as excessive scratches in the metal etc?

Copy all bud. I think our discriminating eyes align on these types of things. If I have any doubt I'll snap a pic and send it to you for evaluation before I buy a part for your saw.

Went to GKS today and rummaged through the junk pile. Found this little gem begging to be overhauled and I didn't have the intestinal fortitude to say no to her. She came home with me for 60 bucks. Looks to be complete, only flaw visible thus far is a crack in the cylinder cover that was stitched up with mechanics wire. I have been wanting a sub-45cc, mag case, pro saw for a bit now and needless to say I'm excited as hell to have brought this home, my first 2xx series! I passed up on 254, 262, 266, and 268 builders for this one. View attachment 68815

Hellava Snag right there...I bought a partial one off a broke college kid about 4 yrs ago...sold it...dreaded selling it.
