That or pecan.Pig nut.
That was my thought. I cut a couple cord of Honey locust a couple years back but the wood has a slight yellow tint, even when dry. Not as dramatic as the Black Locust we have here but still yellow. This stuff looks more like Birch, in color. Cutting this dead, dry stuff reminded me of old, dead white Eucalyptus back in Cali.Looks like honey locust. Probably a hybrid or an ornamental given that it doesn’t have thorns
I don’t know. Usually the black locust varieties show the yellow and brown in the end grain cuts and honey locust is pink with a light ring around the outer perimeter. And I can tell it’s honey Locust by the picture in the middle of the tree with the scaly barkThat was my thought. Had to look that one up. Called a purple robe locust. May have to figure if they can be started from cuttings as much as they sell for.

That's a honey locust. We have some with thorns, others without, around here. Fantastic firewood. This looks like some sort of Locust, by the bark. Hard, heavy, dense but not a yellow tint to the wood. No spikes, either.
Any guesses?
