Well.......I installed a dead bolt......and collected a load of logs for the GTG this morning. Then I opened the shop. The flywheel was still on. I just got a bigger hammer.........and off it came.

Yeah.......I was using a 3 lb brass hammer on the jackscrew. Never budged. So, I smacked it a few times with a 3lb steel drilling hammer. Same weight, but a different material. Worked like a charm. The flywheel is junk anyway........missing five fins.

I took an air hose to it.......that's about all it's gonna get.

It needs the insulating collar around the intake block, a new fan shroud, flywheel, and it will get new intake gaskets and seals. I just ordered that stuff from Bob......

And.......that flywheel of course...

I have 4 (count em, four) used OEM Stihl 029 cylinders I need to clean out of my shop. In my opinion all of them would be usable if cleaned up. Some are better than others, one I already cleaned. These are for an 029, they are not the same as the 029 Super or MS290. (they'd fit if you got the right piston) These were removed from saws I upgraded to the 49mm engine.
Practice cleaning cylinders, practice porting, use as cool paperweights or whatever. I will sell all four of them (count em, four) for $20 plus actual shipping. (they'll all fit in a medium flat rate box with room to spare)
I'm cleaning in the shop so am clearing out a number of items. Always looking for 1127 parts but cash would be most useful to me in my unemployed state...
