Hello again guys, well, I'm still with the 084, I wanted to ask you, what are the correct parameters for the carburetor adjustment? Because the other day I was carbureting it by cutting some wood and now it's very difficult to light, it floods with gasoline, so I understand that I have left the low pass wide open, the high pass is 100% closed because if not, no It has strength, but I think I have left the low one too open, so if you can tell me which is the correct adjustment for the carburetor, I would appreciate it, and also what is the minimum and maximum rpm to adjust with the tachometer.

The lever he is talking about is similar to the flot levers in other carbs. You can test the "pop" aka pop off pressure of the spring needle and seat combination. If yours truely isnt sealing then when you gently pump air with a hand pump it wont ever seal. The needle and arm is on the carb with the air hole in the cover. Some stihls have a compensator horn but i dont think 084s had them.

I have just sent a message to Tillotson to let me know if they have a suitable carburettor, according to their catalog the correct carburettor is the HT7A and I have bought the HT12E.

The HT 12E carburetor was used on the 088. The HT 7A would be the right one for the 084.

Yes, that's what I'm seeing, no HT12E is valid for my machine, the 084 works correctly with none of them, although on the outside they are practically identical, I have located several here in Spain but they are second-hand, and it scares me that they won't. They are in good condition although the seller indicates that they are.
