Peanut butter not withstanding, my Mom always had cookies available. She was a renowned baker. Our favorite was her oatmeal cookies with a big layer of her date spread in the middle.

Mom fed us boys peanut butter and banana sandwiches regularly.

That is my kid’s favorite sandwich at the moment. I was never a big fan though. My peanut butter vice is peanut butter & graham cracker sandwiches…..I usually can’t stop until the peanut butter or graham crackers are gone.

I like the round because they seal off all the crust. The square I've tried, depending on bread size, the didn't seal and would leak inside the maker.

Makes sense. I hate wasting stuff so the cheapskate in me likes using the whole piece of bread in the square pie iron. Trick is use the cheapest white bread you can find. Use lots of butter and pre shape/press the bread into each iron. Then the hardest part is not getting greedy with the filling. I know tough for us fat a$$es! Moot point now since I’m glutarded, but the rest of the fam loves em.

As an adult i became allergic to bananas and pineapple. My two favorite fruits of all time and i get super hardcore stomach cramps and prolonged agony if i eat them now. Sad face
