Don't worry the clutch in my trimmer fell apart and I also quickly dismantled the engine unnecessarily

Make sure the pan and bottom of cylinder are flat on a piece of glass, I had one 025/250 I fought for a long time and it was because it had a warped pan. Would do all kinds of weird stuff and even run fine at times depending on temp outside.

Complete tear down to replace a manifold.
I was duped.

Doesn’t hurt to check since it’s all apart is all I’m saying, may not have leaked there that you know of but I check the clamshells every time I have one apart now

At least I checked the degree of carburizing - there was a lot of it, someone had been using it for 10 years and I had been using it for a few years as well
