Need advise regarding a Stihl MS251.
It has not ben started this pst two and a half years, it lay with fuel in it.
I drained the tank, washed it out with clean fuel, and filled it with Aspen2 stroke mix.
It startd right up, on first pull with the choke on, then it slowly died, would not start
and its one of those with the easy start.
Pulled the plug, it was dry, which I presumed as it refused to throttle up, like the low
was lean.
Got it going again and this time it would stay going but died way down every time I
gave it some throttle, If I feather the throttle it will roar into fourstroking, I stopped as it needs worked on.
It could be the low just needs adjusted, It could also be a stiff diaphram that will draw when the engine
speed is high but not when low, either way I need to know what tool to get to adjust the jets.
Does anyone know what tool I need for the carb on this saw, and if there is limiters in there
how does one get them out.
I woiuld like to try adjust the carb as this might be all it needs, it might actually run on standard
two stroke mix, either way I need the tool as I have been given this saw and would like to get it right.
All advice welcome, thanks.S
