I’m sure to have a 021 or 023 motor you can have.

No the 250/025 is a longer stroke, the 021/210 and 023/230 are the same stroke different bore. The 023/230 is the same bore as a 250 but has the 021/210 stroke. But his cylinder ect is probably fine so if he gets a crank out of a 021-023 you can put it back together.

Will the complete motors all fit the cases?
I’ll have to go through the several misc 1123 motors I have in a box. Some are in pieces, some intact
I know there are some 021/23 cranks in there

I have a bag of misc easy start parts as well

So, IPL shows the 21 as a separate animal but with same 40mm piston as the 23. Different cranks, however. 23 a stroked 21?
25 and 23 share the same crank but 42.5mm vs 40mm pistons
Housing/case is the same but the easy start has its own version.

Yes the housings are all the same, flywheels are different due to stroke on some and i believe easy start saws have different timing than standard. But if he gets an 021/210 crank he can reuse the rest, in a previous post I think I said that a 23 crank would work but made a mistake in putting that. Only the 021-210 crank will work, 23 and 25 same stroke with the different bore. I have an 021 cylinder that I used an 025 crank in and basically made an 023 with a set squish of 20 thousandths. The saw runs and has good compression but still working out the port numbers to get it to run really well or at least I hope I can make it do well. Had to take some off the squish band and 100 thousands off piston to get the 025 crank to work in the 021 cylinder.

I believe so, I've worked on a couple of 026's and they had 3/8 chain on them.

They come either way, 3/8” or .325 my 91 model came with 3/8” but .325 was an option. I now have .325 on it but no the 038 takes a full size rim and an 026 takes stihls micro rim sprocket. The micro rim is smaller than the standard small one on saws like the 346 xp husky.

I did not pay attention to that I guess, I do know that my 261 takes the full size sprocket (change the .325 to a 3/8 on it) but I guess that is a difference between the older ones and the newer ones. Or maybe I changed out the drum on the 026 with a newer one that uses the full size rim. I can't remember.

Yes gear drive oiler like the 038 and 45 ect

Customer with the 210 stopped by today, I have ordered the kit from Saw Again. I will report back once the parts arrive and the saw is finished.

Thanks to @StihlEchoingHusky this saw lives again... joint effort on the massaging of the cylinder thanks to modern tech being able to send pics and vids back and forth... ms460 with hyway big bore 54mm with a pop up piston... compression reading is before first run, on a lightly oiled cylinder and piston...
