Actually 3 got one for my buddy with the tree service and they basically fight over who gets it every day. Only thing I did so far is open up the exhaust and honestly they like it the way it is so might not do much more till later on.

My favorite Stihl dealer has four or six chop saws (including a Husky 770) due to be dumpsterized after Christmas.

The TS350/TS360 shares certain ignition components with the 056 and 08S and would be worthwhile for that alone. Same goes for the TS510 and TS760 as would relate to 050's, 051's, and 075's/076's. Main differences between the chop saws and their chainsaw cousins are the filtration setups and no oil pumps on the chop saws. There are other differences of course, but those are the main ones. Lots of interchangeable parts from cranks and bearings right down to the older bakelite fuel and oil caps of the era that fit many of the older saws.

If the price is right, snag em all. Might be a good ignition in there somewhere for your 056.

Mine both have the electronic with separate metal external trigger. Pretty sure it’s Bosch made

These are from the 051 ipl’s for electronic ignition. There was a points style in the older ones.

This is the points version ipl, if it’s cheap get it anyway person can find ignitions for it somewhere.

I’d you get it and decide you don’t like it I think I know where you could send it. I have an 075, 076 super but no 050 or 051 yet.

Started to measure my 066 up to do some cylinder work. Used some solder to measure and came up with 23 thousandths anyone run across this tight of squish with a gasket? I haven’t gone into it yet but am assuming on the shape of my saw and that an old guy had it and it never was used that it still has a base gasket. Also had the exhaust screen and factory outlet on muffler with the limiters on the carb still.

Thinking of buying this saw but not sure if real, I’m leaning not even though it has a serial number. He hasn’t been able to find Stihl part numbers or trademark cast in anything yet. What’s everyone’s opinion
