This one was 2 piece like an older 360 ect. Added second port, opened stock port and advanced timing a little. Weld not very nice I need a tig welder even .023 hard wire trying to trigger weld second port on was to hot. Maybe I’ll gas weld next one.

On a stihl MS441, I can still see most of the machining marks but it has these fine scratches. Do you guys think I should replace the piston or just the rings, bearings and seals? Compression is good.

Pull it apart and see what's in there if you're overly concerned. Somethin' scratched it. What's wrong with the saw otherwise?
Just curious.

Air leak and a busted crankcase due to poor packaging when the saw was shipped to me.

Oops. I'd be inclined to just inspect that piston closely and maybe give it a swipe or two with some super lightweight lapping paper to knock down any raised edges on those scratches and run with it. The cylinder may be another story once you inspect that to see what caused the scratches. Hopefully no major flaking. Looks to me like something may have gotten in through the plug hole or some carbon got loose.

I Thought you meant you were looking for the stock ones

I did a little more research. According to the IPL Stihl used these for the WC dogs. I have the inner I just need to find an outer.2130A103-1976-4114-ABA8-6FFE8739FBB6.png7B700B23-3C09-43A7-8B70-7AFBF92D0C1D.png
