$5 for complete spare parts to rebuild is cheap.
My parts are uglier than the ones he has on his PH, mine could use a thorough ultrasound cleaning.
I have yet to see these parts break down on these saws, I swapped them out due to my illness . . . ;)

I was worried about driving the shipping costs up. Not too many Dolmar saws around here, so no real use for them. Someone else who NEEDS those parts will be along to get them.
Shipping cost will stay the same for a package weight of 500-999 gram, 1000-1999 gram is the next weight class.

Yup. I was beyond surprised when I looked inside the cylinder. I would be willing to bet that saw has less than 10 tanks through it.

The 133S is looking to be a pain in the a$$. I think I am going to go the Nova II route with the ignition system. Found a flywheel but its going to hurt to have to pay for it.

I don’t buy saws often but when I do I try to get them for the best deal I can. Not out to make money, this is more of a hobby and therapy session.

Yeah I’ve got a 133s for sale at the moment with no spark I should get into it
And see if I can get it running

I do have a Bosch flywheel, have the ignition components as well. They mean nothing to me now.
From what I’ve seen and read, the ignition system was the Achilles heel, and sent many young saws to the parts shelf.
I’d love to know what the root cause of failure is. Perhaps @Stump Shot can help,
Don’t you have an ignition system tester?

That's Not a 133 super it's a plain 133 the Supers had roller bearing on clutch side along with a stronger crankcase. Also had the sem ignition standard. And improved intake manifold and air filtration.

How can you tell from the 1 pic? I know the sprocket covers are interchangeable, but looking at the IPLs it seems to have the Super air filtration setup as well. Not doubting you, I’m curious.

Seems that with all the 3D modeling equipment, CNC and CAD stuff, and contract manufacting ability, that someone could create an aftermarket business in replacement ignitions for 'obsolete' equipment.

They have been rebuilding electric motors since forever. Take a dead one; make a new one to spec?

Maybe I just don't understand the complexity. Good day to discuss resurrecting old souls . . .

Yes, I have a Merc-O-Tronic 79 that can test power saw modulated coils.

I also forgot to mention 133 mag tank and 133super was a plastic tank. The super never had a bosch ignition.the hood and air filter cover is not a 133 super. Also if you remove the carb the super had a 3 bolt intake your s is probably a 2 bolt. How do I know these things well seeing I sold both types new experience tells me the difference.

I also have a model 98 Merc-O-Tronic that can test the old points/ condenser type ignitions.

A South American company named Magnetron does an excellent job of supplying ignitions for some of the older stuff including Bosch. Some of the two peice ignitions for Husqvarna are from them that can be found here and there. Also I've bought some from Germany for the old Stihl's that we're from them, electronic conversions even. Hard part is finding if they make something for what you need and sourcing a place to purchase it from.

I read that recently while deciding what to do with my saw. The Chinese replacement for the dolmar claimed to also replace the 041 and 056 coil I believe.

Was quite common to find one type of coil in multiple different saws in the past.

I wasn’t doubting you! These are the first Dolmars I’ve ever had, so I am ignorant of them. Just like when I asked questions in the McCulloch thread and guys told me exactly what I had with pics of a grime covered old saw; I’m awed by the knowledge. I truly don’t know what I have. Sprocket cover says 133S, the serial number is unreadable and the tag is unreadable. I looked at IPLs and deduced (incorrectly) that it WAS a Super just by the parts hanging on it. Information like this is exactly why I posted here.
