Yesterday's delivery finally brought this one home to me. The second blue one I've ever had. The top end is currently not on it. I bought it knowing but it came with a cylinder from what I assumed was a 7301. Upon further inspection the cylinder appears to be off of a concrete saw....what are the differences between the saw and concrete saw cylinder. All I can see at a glance is the spark plug hole is slightly different.

Why do you say it’s from a concrete saw? Dust? A pic would be helpful.

If it's a concrete cylinder it won't have the side handle mount either which will be an issue

Hmmm maybe its no the switch, started it cold this morning, ran for about 2 minutes, without touching the switch it stopped and wouldnt restart
Did you ever figure out what the problem is why it keeps dying?

9000 has a plate with serial
9010 has a decal on the back handle
Well in general this is correct, however there are PS-9000 out there which don't have a metal serial-number plate but a sticker on the back handle just like the PS-9100:
