Hi Guys, don't know if maybe anyone knew this, but I just found out that the dogs on a ps9000/9010 will fit the 120si/6800i series of saws. You need to do a little grinding or filing to make the inner dog fit.
The bolt holes are exactly the same for the inner and outer dog on the 120si/6800i, so I will order an extra 9000/9010 dog to give my 120si 30% more power I beleive

Hello,

you ever heard of or seen a SACHS-DOLMAR 51?
I would assume no, since this model is very rare. It was produced for the french importer exclusivly
and AFAIK not sold in other countries.

Here are some picts:

This saw was built 1986 and is a SACHS-DOLMAR 111 but with yellow body. Serial number is a 111 number: 111/062054.
I found it in France after looking for one for at least two years. She didn't look like this on arrival ...

This one is another highlight in my small collection.

In between an ancient pre-Sachs DOLMAR 122 super and a SACHS-DOLMAR 120si arrived waiting to be
brought back to, well 'life' isn't exactly the right expression ;)

ankunft_vl.jpgankunft_vr.jpg

This is a 122 super, about mid 1970s.

SACHS-DOLMAR 120si, the remains of the sprocket cover's decal reading "super" are definitely wrong, it's a 120si
built 1988

I really really like them 120si and 116si, both IMHO amongst the best saws ever been built by DOLMAR.
And I love working with both of them.
Looking forward to get this one back not only into working but also into good looking shape.

What family of saws are the 111i, 115, ps540, dcs520 ect? Wondering if theres a designation on the serial number to denote this saw family....
And also, was the 540 the only jug for these that,
A) sports closed transfers
B) is 45mm bore
C) and why is it claimed to be "detuned" over previous models? If so, what specifically detunes it?

Ive got several open port 44mm jugs but only a single closed 45mm. Just a gasket delete wakes that closed port saw up significantly, then i piped it. Made it very quick. Im currently looking for another 45mm set, but can i expect the same from a 44mm, or am i going to have to work on timing as im cleaning it up?

Really like these little saws. Want to build a few of em but i think the most gains will come out of the 45mm. Also want to build one to run my winch on the throttle lock.

Thanks for any and all info. Maybe its all buried in this thread but ive yet to figure out the search features. Thanks again

I just pulled jug off my ps540 and it has open transfers, still 45mm tho. That opens more questions but ill save them as to not muddy my previous ones. Thanks

There is no model-number encoded in the serial number, at least nor in european market saws,
but I know, US-spec saws may differ.

There is however an internal model designation as follows:
109 - 40mm bore - open transfers - model 020
110 - 40mm bore - closed transfers - model 020
111, PS-52, DCS520 - 44 mm bore - open transfers - model 027
115, DCS5200 - 44 mm bore - closed transfers - model 027
PS-540 - 45 mm bore - open transfers - model 033

PS-540 was export only and maybe early makes may have had closed transfers, I don't know,
but may that is what "detuned" meant.

F-ing Makita!
Dolmar charger, top battery Dolmar, bottom battery Makita, 36Volt system.
Both batteries fit the 36Volt Kombi-System Dolmar AC-3610.

So, apparently I have a equivalent to a Makita DC36WA charger but need a DC36RA charger to charge the Makita BL3626 battery packs.

Well, this sucks! :(

Now I gotta purchase another charger.
