Finished up the last of the logs I had today. The big bore Makita runs great. Did base gasket delete this week, and opened up the muffler even more. First cuts after putting it back together.

Picked up a little Dolly today, sweet isn't she?

Picked it up from a fellow who used to work on my dad's saws all the time. He gave me a heck of a deal on her too. He even had the original sales tag for it.

This is the first saw I've ever had without a Husky tag on it!

This is the first sign of "Makita" on any ps 420sc iv seen. Brand new saw 2016 ...look under the 113 db and you can just make out the Makita name ,with a few more words in german and ending in Belgium.
My 2015 saw has no mention at all.

Hello yes all makita Dolmar products from Germany China is coming into Belgium Before it goes to the distribution into other countries
And they all have these labels now since Dolmar has just become a department of makita .com
The distribution centre used too be in Manchester uk but that changed many moons ago and makita uk isn't capable of handling such a turnover of equipment it's a bit like a cow handling a musket

You can see its a "Made in Germany" saw even with the other info on it.

Yes that type number is used in the IPL parts that start 195 are solely for that type of saw, and other numbers down through the IPL that start with other numbers are used through out several others models it's usually studs screws, 0-rings brake bands ETC

Has anyone experienced their dolmar jumping the rev limiter? Both my 6100 and 421 have. The 6100 twice and the tach read over 15,000 and screaming lean. And the 421 once but did not have the tach on it. Both seem like it goes extremely lean and screaming right past the limiter.
Thoughts?

@exSW
Think you have a 110 that needs a single mount flag with a 2 point mount top on it...
pics of single side cover and what your saw should look like i believe .

This is a good start to see what you need .
