What’s it worth, realistically?

DCS401 makita. Never been in wood. Only fired up a few times. Cylinder walls still have the cross hatching. Haven’t ran the serial or looked into the manufacturing year yet. Thinking about letting her go.

Hard to put a price on. I have a similar red one, albeit obviously not as nice as yours, and they’re very nice and light saws. Runs decent.
Would almost be a shame to put that one in wood now.

I bought this one to use and got it and quickly realized how nice it was. But trust me. I have one that gets in the wood

You get a couple for every application You mentioned, easy as that!

And You forgot, they all give You wood whatever You use them for.

I have a 9010. But I can't seem to tune these Dolkitas.

Man, I already told You - get Yourself a 10-15$ tach off eBay and just tune them right against the rpm limit.
It won't be the sweet spot but it will be close to optimal.

None of mine are tuned by ear nor in the wood.
I dare think they don't run too bad the way they are tuned.

Made a change to the @Miller Mod Saws 9010. Took a trip to the Paul Bunyan Festival last weekend and made a stop at Nate’s shop. As always he treats me fantastic, spending money there doesn’t seem to hurt that bad. Stihl 41” bar with .404. Cuts like an absolute animal.
