Mini noodle action, the Dolmar PS-311TH is little beast - bad noodle clearance though.
Noodled up root balls so they can fit the fireplace, I had to sharpen the chain 3 times and then just postponed further root ball noodling.

After the PS-311TH action I was craving something more "more", so I pulled out the PS-9010.

It was a nice Saturday. :)

Specified 24" (true 23"), currently with .325" Stihl RS and 9 tooth sprocket.
I also have a loop of 3/8" Stihl RS and a 8 tooth sprocket.

Yes, it is a hard nose, kinda interesting to play around with different pitches. ;)

I am missing a .404" loop to match that bar, my Stihl dealer doesn't have any .404" RS in .058" gauge. :(

A new old saw did arrive today:

SACHS-DOLMAR 290:

A pretty rare electrical saw, built by or at least is similar to a saw built by Skil. Compared to other electrical saws,
this one is quite heavy. I didn't weight her yet but she feels as massive as a PS-9000...

Over all she is in good shape even though a part of the rear-handle protection is broken and missing.
12,50 EURO including shipment seems a good price.

Sondre knew this PS-9010 of mine encountered some bad handling which left her with a bent handle bar and multiple scuffs, he told Steve and they got me sorted. ;)
The damaged handle bar is no longer an eyesore.

No, it wasn't me who bent the factory handle bar - I am not that hamfisted. o_O

Nice Wilhelm. Great bunch of guys on here for sure. Proud to call them friends. [emoji106][emoji482][emoji7]
Indeed. :)
I had high hopes to meet at least one of them in person this year, but due to the "thing" everything is on hold.

Croatia is not Dolmar rich - I think I hold about 10% of the total Dolmar population. :p

Small 100-something models are fairly common, nothing bigger than 122 from the old school models.
I have newer seen any 153/166's for sale.
Modern models top out at 7900's, 73's seem to pop up fairly often.

Generally all saws seem to be sold extremely abused and not taken care of.
My PS-7300 and PS-7310 sure got raped mercilessly - luckily they both found a new caring home at my place.
Unfortunately I can not save all of them even though I would love to.

Happy to help Wilhelm!! That’s what friends are for. I’m glad you got that on there.

Wow. The old one was bent more than I remembered from the pics.

I swapped the full wrap on yesterday, I might look into MMing the PS-9010 while I am forced vacation. ;)

Yeah, the factory handle bar is quite out of shape.
With all the little bruises, the cracked clutch cover and the bent handle bar I think this particular saw must have survived some sort of squishing fight. o_O

Again, a huge THANK YOU to Steve and You! :)
