It’s pretty clean for its age. According to the tag it’s a 2002 model and the sticker on the top cover said a shop out of New Jersey

I gotta say of the 60cc class saws i have run the 6100 was the strongest of them all. Id like to see makita make a 70cc version with large bar mount

I have cut one tree with it so far. So not much to tell. The logging side we are on now has some decent size timber a bunch of 30" plus stuff. I take it with me in the truck everyday wanting to use it. Need to get back in some smaller to average Timber to really give it a go.

Yes.
Basically the same cover on all units, red covers left hand DeCo hole, black covers right hand DeCo.
On new red covers the DeCo hole is shut.


I do not know how the situation looks like with the new red Makita units and their replacement parts.
