Well, turns out this is all just a learning experience. This morning he brought in his non sale 7910 that I rebuilt last winter and wants me to take the cylinder, piston, and muffler off of it and put on this saw. Ok, will do. Haven't looked, are the carbs the same or should I swap them too?

I would swap them. That's just me.

She is trying to revert to her natural color, gotta respect the effort!

This is how mine looks like when she goes natural, but I generally don't mind her being a black top.

My tach crapped out, one can see it is off in the first picture which was taken after the second picture.
I have a replacement but I'll try salvage this one first, I am not really in the mood to make another tach/AF cover.

The CT is a great saw. I enjoy running mine when I get the chance.

Yeah Lee always enjoy running this saw some would say Iam mad maybe got a screw loose but I would sooner use the CT over the 166

I had a new 44” 404 full chisel skip chain on it and it was hard work getting the saw off 4-stroking even buried in full length , once I got down too the 3rd and last trunk I sharpened the saw and dropped the rakers what a difference
She pulled her weight down through without any hesitation

Mine is fun too when I can get it to run. I've found a place to order a new carb, but it is on backorder from Tillotson. It loads up on slow speed but runs great under load. Seems to have as much power as my 166 though. Maybe it's the vibes!
