I kinda didn't mind my uncle requesting from me to buck the log up into ~4" cookies.
That was great fun!
Thanks, but I don't care about that circus.Good luck Wilhelm with the football tonight
The supermarket prize drawing was rigged and a Stihl guy got the ticket to Russia!I was looking through the stadium to see a guy wearing a Dolmar T-shirt
But your not in mother Russia this week
I got a 6400 coil on the way for this beauty. Do they like timing advance? If so how much?View attachment 132568
*s-word just making it bettererMan it didn't take you very long to ruin a perfectly good saw now did it?
Seems like they do. be a ?? for @Miller Mod SawsI got a 6400 coil on the way for this beauty. Do they like timing advance? If so how much?View attachment 132568
Flocked or black nylon AF?Oh and the air filter sucks on these. 3 1/2 tanks with a sharp chain and already have fines in the elbow. Pretty *s-wordty.
I have the flocked filter. I'll try the grease for sure.Flocked or black nylon AF?
If black nylon, ditch it - if flocked apply a little bit of grease around the seam of the AF halves and the intake seating, works wonders.
Considering You'll be tweaking Your saw You might wanna try the white "fine" nylon AF before You decide on the HD.

Apologies for the flipped pictures, they are all supposed to be landscape but the forum software is flipping them sideways!
Any workaround to avoid this?
Dolmar part numbers:
- 038 173 101 - flocked AF
- 038 173 011 - coarse BLACK nylon AF
- 038 173 080 - fine WHITE nylon AF
- 957 173 400 - Heavy Duty AF
I just did the muffler on mine. Map gas, heat the crimp and uncrimp around the muffler. After you pull it apart the slr should just slide out. Mine took a little persuasion to get it started. Then I just opened up the outlet hole.I need the help of some of you dolmar experts. The older dollars, I know and love, but the newer ones I haven't worked on much so I don't know their quirks yet.
Here's what I've got. Good customer brought in a 7910. Logger, so his stuff gets used hard, but took care of. This saw was new last fall, piston and cylinder went down under warranty. I don't know why. Didn't work on it then. Now, after less than 5 gallon of gas through it, it's down again. Saw has been running LEAN and hot. Anything that typically causes trouble on these? Haven't run a pressure/vacuum test yet, but will before I tear it down.
One more thing. He wants me to do a muffler mod on it and it's got the muffler that's got the "snout" that sticks into the exhaust port. Tips on modding that one?
