Doesn't concern my units, mine are all pre-2015.

That smells like Makita changed suppliers to save $!
If that's the case, let them (Makita) bathe it out.

Can someone give me a list of service tool part numbers specific to Dolmar/Makita 64xx/73xx/79xx saws?

I'm mainly interested in part numbers for flywheel puller and there's supposed to be a chain brake assembling tool.
I am not opposed to part numbers of other special tools that might come handy.

Just finished these two recently. The 133 carb is a tad finicky.

Look at you go Mr. Dolmar. The 133 is a nice saw @85cc's. Tad heavy
compaired to todays saws but still nice.

The little Makita 3410TH got a new piston and ring the other day.



It had to get pretty much completely disassembled to get the cylinder out.


Here it is back together. Did a muffler mod while I had it all apart.
Has a great feel to it, and sounds great. Cleaned up pretty good too.

I didn’t yet. @David Young told me the same thing yesterday. Once I have the time I’ll open them a little more.

Thanks Andrew! It has a great feel to it, and I can’t wait to really run it. Starts very easily, and has great throttle response. It was in pretty decent shape when you sent it, but the piston was definitely in need of replacing.
I’m supposed to take down 4-5 black walnut trees next weekend, so I’ll bring it with me then.
