Well, I managed to find enough time to get the PP295 put back together. Carb needed a cleaning (sawdust in the screen), a kit for stiff diaphragms, new AF and new fuel lines. What a pain these are to reassemble! (I am mostly used to Echo/Sthil stuff) Anyway, it was popping off with a squirt of mix down the carb, and ended up running after the H/L screws were turned out maybe 3.5 turns each. Probably the most out I have ever had on a carb. Not sure if that's just the nature of this saw, or if it means I am trying to chase a leak I don't know about.
Managed to get it to idle down and stay running for several minutes. Need to have some more time to try and tune it a little in some wood and see how it does. I will say it seems like it oils like no tomorrow. There was a mess all over everything after I turned it off. Also not sure if its because I didn't cut any wood, so all the oil just kinda pooled and ran around the bar, or if Im actually leaking a lot of it out at the oiler port.
Appreciate the help so far, and any other tips for getting this one dialed in. I have some old beams I am planning to use this bar/chain on, and then planning to put an adjuster on it and get an 18" or 16" setup for it, keep it on hand as my backup/loaner saw.
