Didn't get any, fixed it at home

Hopefully you went in to get that cleaned out, chainsaw cuts we nasty for infection. I didn’t read the didn’t go in till now. Watch that for any signs of infection. My uncle cut his chest and even after cleaning it was on antibiotics for months

Ouch, you need to be more careful!! :D Is there anything you could have done to help prevent that or was it just a freak accident?

I can't tell you how many times at work I brushed against chain and then started bleeding....it doesn't take much from them!

I don't remember it kicking back,but I guess it did😂 I didn't know I was cut till I seen the saw was red.

It's nothing but a scar now.i kept it cleaned out and took antibiotics for a couple of days.one kicked back on my dad cut his neck,he was on antibiotics for a long time.

I got a Sears 358 chainsaw that I need a starter hub for. I know you can not find them. I think someone came up with a replacement that you could modify to work. Does anyone else remember this? If so, could they please pass along the information on it? I think the part # for the part is 530037817. Any information would be greatly appreciated thank you

All the Craftsman branded Poulan saws have the 358 prefix. The rest of the numbers will identify the saw. A picture of the saw will also work.

Its not worth fixing just let me get it off your hands and save you the trouble 😁

It is the first one. The plastic rope starter is stripped.

I don't think anyone has found an alternate pulley for that type. The lower pic has different pawls and a sub has been found for that one.

Rather than finding a pulley for the your saw you might be better off finding a flywheel from a Poulan 3700 or 4000. and doing the sub pulley in the vid attached.


Forget above, I just found that Lil red barn has a new repro pulley.
