It's too bad they stopped making the little thang. All they needed to done was to update the oiling system with a gear drive setup and made the muffler a little bit more quieter. Oh, and add an Canadian chain break.

Not too bad, granted it's still got the spark screen and baffle in. My biggest complaint would be the vibration. If I ever come across one with the anti vibe in the bottom of the handle I'll likely pick it up.

I've always worn heavy gloves, habit it guess. Dad's old Super XL12 vibrated also growing up, so we wore thick gloves to lesson it.

Vibration on the 1994 2000 I bought new was why I quit running it later on. Then dad wanted it to replace his mini mac TH. I couldnt believe he could take the vibs with his hands.

I got it back a few months ago. I gave him a 180 easy start to replace it.

Before after and cutting again. 24 years and only a coil and fuel lines and carb kit to date. Several b+c changes.

Well I got some time in with the little booger today and I must say this thing has some grunt! I trimmed up a dozen pine trees that haven't been touched for 20+years and cut a truckload of dead ash. It has definitely earned a spot in the rotation.

If you think its fun with the 14", get a 12" for it...I have one with each, and the 12" is my go-to 100% more often than the one with the 14. I was cutting the top of a standing dead red oak I dropped the other day, and the little 2000 just chewed through the rock hard oak without batting an eye, I ran it up to the 8-10" diameter area of the tree. And weighs next to nothing!

b0fa8c278baf84e82aaa5cb58909a2c0.jpg

I can get it to run, sort of, with both out 2-3 turns.

I have two of them (one belongs to a client) got me stumped.

I have a couple of them,2 turns for the low and 1.5 for the high should get it go pretty much spot on.Some of them could need a little more like 2.5 turn.If you tried 3 turns and nothing, then something is wrong like fuel lines, carb, gaskets, air leak, primer bulb etc.You need to start to disassemble it.

Dads poulan 3300 54cc he bought new in 1993 is cleaned up and ready for the shelf. Just purrs like a kitten idling forever and turns into a mad hornet.

Will just get it down from time to time to use and keep it going.

Made me smile and feel good about it.

Now to finish that little mac TH 130 I hated with a passion. Bought new in 79-81
