Come on Mike, poulan pfft ;)

Found some NOS 75 / 15 stuff. Guess I will trade or sell it later.

I update all my saw to the newer 505 stuff is why I wont use this stuff.

Just got my hands on this 3700 on Monday...thanks @Mycamaro_68 ...Threw a bar and chain on it, fueled it up on my lunch break today and finally got to run it. Little bit of tuning and I threw it right to the wolves noodling a 36" diameter piece of oak, bar buried. It just hooked up and clawed its way through like an animal haha. Very happy, can't wait to open the muffler up and get 'er singing a bit more! It's super clean, gonna order new decals for it after Christmas...ignore the 4000 sticker.

But speaking of 4000s...anyone have a cylinder and piston gathering dust? :D haha

Yea for sure, I'll hit it with a whizzer wheel to smooth it all out and some high temp paint. But I was too excited to hear it BARK last night that I put it back together so I could run it :aplastao:

Noticeable increase in throttle response. Really crisp, and it sings in the cut. I may have the L a bit too fat, it loads up after it idles for a bit. I opened it up a lot when I first got it, and I might have gone a bit overboard.

The oiler works great, I'm not enthralled with the chain I have on there, it needs some work but it cuts ok. The saw starts in half a pull when warm, and 5 pulls total in 14* weather last week. So happy with it!

I guess everyone has an opinion on that. I'm a cheap SOB that waits for bargains.

They're not new and you may have to dig for parts. If you're looking for a saw that you can use every day for years I guess not. If you're a collector, maybe.

Those p/c don't come up often, been watching eBay, thought of converting my 3400 over to one.

Steve
3800 cylinders are much easier to come by. In my experience, no noticeable difference in performance. Something to consider.

Need some poulan help guys. Got some flush cut chain brake kits NOS for 6900, 7700, and 8500 according to the box. Part number is 69137. In the box is a black clutch cover with a chain brake system with metal hand guard. Anybody have a idea of what these things are worth?

Not worth anything. As matter of fact, you should send them to me and I will dispose of them properly. Actually, if anybody would know a price off hand would be acornhill, he's on the other site.
