Randy, do you recall what the squish usually runs on a ms361? What I am getting at is eliminate the base gasket? I have one that I am replacing crank bearings and resell.

I used to keep up with all that stuff. These days, I just have notes that tell me how much to cut outta the squish band.....

I think you can lose the gasket and be safe though.
