Might've been at that perfect moisture to be a pain. I've had my old hesston bale wet hay & dry but in the middle it can be a nightmare.

Bearing check is never a bad idea. How old are the belts? Are they treaded on that model?

The belts look good. Smooth if I'm not mistaken.

So.....asking for advice.

Looking over the Hesston baler before time to cut hay again. I'm thinking I should loosen the belts, and check out the roller bearings. I also plan to tighten the drive chain.

Maybe some belt dressing on the drive rollers, and on the V belt that runs the pickup reel?

After you loosen the belts be sure and take a long bar and put between the rollers and pry on them some.. A little pressure is sometimes the only way to find them before they completely go out..That’s the way our dealer showed me to do it.

I looked at my manual for the 5510 & another cause for bale stall is too much belt tension. Not sure if that can be an issue with yours but something else to look into if it still gives you fits.
