Don’t have to stop to tie and you can normally get more weight on a load.

Whats the advantage of large square bales over round bales? You Europeans seem to love them. I dont see any here widespread in the US.

Most smaller farms have got a round baler , there’s always plenty of local round bales but all the contractors have got big square balers it’s as you say the way
Europe has gone

You can get more weight on a load.

Yes those are MF-187 bales dimensions are 4ft wide x 28” deep
and approx 6ft 6” long 32 bales on that load each bale weighed 575lb’s

They ride so well if you could see our narrow twisty roads and the hills
The load ull sway like hell but stay there rounds tend move a lot

Think that shows the feelings of lots of farmers this year! Still some harvesting going on. Long long harvest!

Neighbor finally got out to take off his beans today. Had to do shoe pan, fan and both upper and lower fan housings. Plus extras. Then it snowed... Finally shrunk down enough to go.. Gets to the field bearing out on the head/drum.

Was gonna need some luck to get done before it snows again as was. Now he loses another solid day probably closer to 2.

I've only pulled my new one a couple hundred miles, but it's so much more comfortable than my bumper pull.


There's a road nearby that it's concrete with expansion joints that will really get the truck bucking like a horse when pulling a bumper pull. Doesn't seem to matter if it's loaded or not, and I've tried a few different trucks and trailers. All behave the same way. It's awful. I pulled the load in the picture over that road last week and it was way different. Still a little bumpy, but not anything like the other setups.

Hauled this load 800 miles. That would be hell on a bumper hitch. Just have to remember to put a lot of load on the front of the trailer.

Just used bumper pull since that's all everyone in the family had. Just got to know how to balance the trailer weight. Getting too tired of making multiple trips to stockyard. Thinking 24' is in the plans for next year just not sure of slider or butterfly gates.

Got to use what you have avaliable. Any trailer of capacity will do the job if done right. But the gooseneck is superior in ride quality and maneuverability.

I like the combo slide/swing rear gate over butterfly. Chutes are easier with the slide and you can use the swing to push some if you need to. The butterfly is nice if there’s no room and you need to open the gate inside
