Don't remember exactly but sounds about right. I do remember for the price he was asking you were basically paying for the bar and getting the 056 super for free. I'd of jumped all over it if I was close enough.

Don't remember exactly but sounds about right. I do remember for the price he was asking you were basically paying for the bar and getting the 056 super for free. I'd of jumped all over it if I was close enough.

He had some kind of tophandle I think he wanted $60'ish, the 024 was $95 and he wanted $145 for the 056.

This guy does not mention it is aftermarket. Some of the guys got their tail feathers burnt by a poster who outed them. The ad is dishonest.

Just over a month ago I would have had no idea there were complete saw parts kits for the 660. I could have been tricked pretty easily since I had no idea what to look for. Now, I'm buying a kit for my own use, since there are occasions I could use a 90'ish cc saw, but wouldn't pay 1200.00 for a new one. Could have been tempted/tricked at the $600 price point. The $900 price point is a bit of an overreach on that sellers part. Someone in the market at that price might have a better clue than someone like me.

It's one thing to knowingly buy a clone, it's something else to outright deceive a buyer. That ad is doing exactly that.

ETA: He has that ad worded pretty carefully. He talks about the bar length before saying "as used in Stihl timbersports series".

There is another 660 clone in there for $750, the $900 one is just crazy.

There is a nice looking 044 in the Fayetteville section, asking $650. If it stays there awhile, I might send a offer and go take a look.

I'm going to check it out. Something ain't quite right with it. Case has a chunk missing from the clutch side and it looks rather twisted! These are in my backyard where are you at?

Maybe it will keep a few people from getting scammed.
