Yeah, they're on the 288-style chassis but 181 and early 281 cylinders have small combustion chambers which give them equal to or better than 288 power, in my opinion. My brother has an early 281 with a small chamber, it blows 185psi with a well used piston and some light carbon scoring. My ported 181 pulls a 36 inch bar with no problems whatsoever, heck, my brother's 281 was previously used on a mill with a 42 inch bar and it did pretty decent with that.Too bad, are the 181’s good saws?
