I just finished submitting my expenses for my trip to Dallas and holy crap it is crazy how expensive it is to drink there when you have to convert back to Canadian.
A round of 4 singles was almost $85 once tax and tip were in.

Bought 4 chains on eBay, listing stated new. Came today and I opened the box, this is what I found, 3 of the 4 were like this. Sent the seller a message, she doesn’t reply by tomorrow I’m going thru eBay.

May be hard to see but the cutters on this one are ground back so far I would throw it away.

When she saw the pics she said just keep them. 1 of the 3 used chains is salvageable plus a new one so I can’t complain.

Like I said, too old to be lifting and stacking 200 lb chunks of wood.

We have a clearance place near here that sells mostly HD and Lowe's returned and damaged goods. 80% of the saw chains are heavily used ones that were returned in new packages. Often, not even the same pitch / gauge / DL count. They have good prices on some stuff, but the chains are priced near retail: even the used ones. Store employees say they have no control or ability to negotiate.

Seems like a good deal if it's really in good shape and OEM.

I have 3 HD in a 25 mile radius of me. I always check OfferUp and Let Go for good buys. In the last year I picked a NIB Echo 490 for $210 and a NIB Echo 590 for $275. I think these may have been self directed pay raises.
