About 30 minutes from me

I wonder what the current bid is

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know that for some of you guys the first thing that crosses your mind when finding a pile of saws like that is simply, "oh *f-word no", but I'm not exactly saw rich, so that would be a nice find if the price was right.

And about the current "no bid" status. About a year ago there was an auction about 20 minutes from my in-laws (nearly 1,000 miles from me). There was an 066 or 660 in the mix that looked crazy-beat, but was actually in nice shape if you looked close. The thing was "no bid" for weeks. Needing/wanting a big saw, I figured I'd toss in a bid for $50 and see if it stuck. Figured my FIL could pick it up for me as he always loves the chance for an oddball adventure and the chance to meet new people (used to be small town insurance salesman). I hesitated because I figured my wife would blow a gasket for involving my in-laws in a crazy plan to get yet another saw. Days went by, I got busy and never did place my bid. The damn thing went for 35 bucks.

Told my wife after the fact and she actually berated me for not placing a bid... Live and learn.

Once piece of advice - don't forget to figure for the buyers premium when placing a bid on a site like Proxibid. That magical thing that might be a pretty good deal at $xxx might not be such a deal after you tack on a 20 percent premium (plus shipping in some instances).

Speaking of Auctions here is one I would be going too if I was nearby. Nothing in saws that specifically draw my attentions but parts, tools, shop supplies galore plus signs and such.

I wonder if @Definitive Dave knows Moe's at all...

I'm working on a couple jred signs, they will be a long term project to get, but I'm in the running for them. 10 years from now those will be cool to have.
I missed a lit Echo sign a couple weeks ago arrrrrrg.
