A model 43 Poulan chainsaw in EXCELLENT CONDITION. This saw runs a cuts excellent! Starts right up, sits and idles, Oiler works, cuts full length of the bar and is completely original condition.
That's very nice. @Mastermind may be interested.
Need...no.....Want...yes.
Have a meeting set up for the am!
Lucky!

I discovered my calling...to rid the population of the horribly overrated 2100 series saws. Just think how much better off everyone will be!
That Is a good calling! I have never ran a 2100, super curious! Have been looking for a 395, for a while, hoping it is in good shape!

He gave me his address and I am making the drive tomorrow morning! Is there anything on this model to look for...besides the basics?

Why yes there is.

Flipping- plastic is in good shape. Air filter cover is hard to find an unbroken one. Quality mufflers are scarce. Oil plungers are usually crunchy if used hard and uncared for. Compression, P/C are getting harder to find replacements.

For you- make sure the throttle linkage works, there’s a pivot lever between the trigger and carb that’s extremely hard to find on its own. Start it if you can. There are options for air filtration so don’t worry about the stock stuff to much. Check the tank seam at the front, they can split there. Intake block can crack causing them to run lean.

For $200 and the pics I saw, I’d buy it and have it shipped to me without hesitation. But I have lots of parts to fix it.
