I have the ability to purchase an MS261 MT saw that is 2 years old and used in a landscaping company for $250.
They say it runs... and it appears to be in pretty good shape.
Worth it?
I am thinking about it for the M-Tronic tread I am working...

I was just being silly.

What do you need to complete your Homelite EZ?

I know that.... But looking at my EZ on the bench and emailing the guy with the 261, reality hit.. LOL

I have a few of the parts for the EZ. Managed to get a complete gasket kit for the carb..
Have a couple of the seals.
Still looking over the bearings... I know I need one crank bearing, will end up replacing both.
At this stage of the game, I am not in a big hurry. If I manage to complete it by next June, that's cool. Then I can take it home to TN and let the family see it.
If not, so be it. This is my First 100% rebuild of something this old and I am trying to be 100% with it.

The one thing I cannot seem to locate, the cover for the pull start. Damn thing looks like a bowl but finding one, OMG.

I picked up a 261 carb model other day with bad piston, cylinder cleaned up for a 25 in es bar used 4 loops of chain and 3 loops of 20 in chain needs a piston and set of seals
