Nope only need a bar adapterThen id have to buy diff bars and chains too.i have a buddy who is. Shop manager at a local stihl shop i get a little break on my parts and free chain sharpening.
Then. Id still need chains ,one ring pistons outbound clutches on most models, only know of one dealer within 40 miles,Nope only need a bar adapter
Outbound clutch makes it harder to change sprockets specially in the feild.
I know thats how i take em apart on bench at shop.just never been much of a fan with not much dealer support m,one ring pistons, and thinner rings, bar adapters buy chains if i bought one, stihl has more used oem parts available as well.nothing personal the cons just outweigh the pros for me.thanx brianI usually have my impact driver with me. The compression is good enough on my 51 to just spin it with the impact driver and it loosens up without a piston stop or anything just leave the plug in and spin it and the clutch comes right off. I know not as easy but sprockets don’t wear out that fast.
