One more thing to add: While other manufacturers have had some struggles with their chain tensioner designs, Honda's has proven to be quite reliable over the years. I would be a little surprised if yours failed. I have trikes that are over 30 years old that have the original untouched cam chain tensioners in them still.

I would still check it though.

He sold it a few years ago...... You can see in the last picture he updated it to disks brakes. He put the original drum back on to sell it.

Don't tell the guys in the oil thread that he run any and every cheap oil he could get his hands on. The bike run great when he sold it 30+ years later.... With 10's of thousands of miles.

Yup, I don't even remember what I used. probably the cheapest stuff I could find.

I really need a two up bike my wife loves to ride and the Vfr just doesn't work.... She likes the BMWs K1600's.
