The new 70cc ECHO saw

What I was trying to say was that when I was cutting firewood I could get away with running a tad underpowered saw for the bar length as long as it wasn’t crazy and the bar isn’t fully buried all the time. When I’m logging bore cutting/felling a 1,000$ hard maple tree with the skidder chasing me, the last thing I want is a inadequate saw bar/chain combo. Comes back to using the right tool for the job. If you don’t believe me, try logging 2-3 foot hardwood with a stock 60cc saw and 24-28” bar full comp chain. Let me know how it works out.

But to me,running a 32" bar on 50cc saw is like having a 4cyl engine in a big rig.

It says torture test I doubt it saw that setup again after the video. My 490 lives with a 16" 3/8lp setup. If I need more bar I'll grab a bigger saw.

When I was at an Echo dealer lately and brought this saw up he mentioned it could be part of the Echo 20 for 20 that's coming up.

When I asked the Echo rep at the Paul Bunyan Festival he had no idea they were even testing this saw and said it wasn’t shown in the 2020 lineup that they had been shown?!?!
