The carb has been cleaned ect, unless it’s a bad solenoid. I can’t do compression test with small plug but don’t trust the reading with an adapter that much anyway. The saw was a tree service saw and even though he is a Stihl guy his kid tried a 540. Saw ran for about 2-3 months than stared to do the no idle thing so he gave it to me said he never wanted to see it again.

Another thing I need to pass on. It's a Mccullah chain. I have to measure it and count drive links. It's dirty...maybe used, not by me. It's not from a huge saw I'm thinking bits around a 18-20" blade. Nothing else I remember or know. If you want this mystery chain that I don't have a picture of you can have it. Haha
Great gift! Next year I'm going to set the .450 AR up differently with optics. I thought about those but I haven't given enough this year to claim more. I know you have more than enough black guns needing a set of those!
