That truck I think would be the LP2423 230hp a lot of truckers didn't like the early mercs they didn't have the long stroke motors they would rev like hell but die on the hills and wouldn't hang on like the older gardeners ,Cummins , rolls Royce and Leyland engines even the old 2-stroke diesels would out gun them with the right driver
Back in the late 70's 250hp on the semi's was massive
