The son of a good friend of mine wanted to go in the military after high school. He failed the math portion of the ASVAB. They asked me if I could tutor him in math. I said sure. He did not know how to do simple multiplication or division. I am talking about 5x5, or 60 divided by 6. I asked him how he passed math in high school, he said, "calculators, the teachers told us to use them"!!!! He quit after one lesson and found a job...

thats terrifying. im pretty sure i could teach a piece of firewood to pass the asvab….

Bunched the logs up today that just sold. The mill will start hauling them tomorrow..

Had to grab a few trees from a different section of the property today. Adding them to my current landing, but that meant skidding down this icy minimum maintenance road. The chains broke the surface up a bit, otherwise is was a skating rink.
