You just have to make sure that you are fully committed before you start. That includes doing what it takes to make it or what it's going to take to get you out if you don't. Duallys are good for hauling loads, but I'm not sure it would be my first choice in the mud. Hammer down and don't look back!

I know where there are two M123s for sale, $3500 IIRC. Supposed to be enough to make one good one. If you can afford a couple semi transports…

They go like 45mph and get like 5mpg. Over legal width with the duals on the rear. Two 45 ton winches…tank transporter.

The early ones had an 855ci LeRoi gas V8.

You frequent the Vannatta bros site too? I thought I was the only person who would still visit that and drool over the 123's! Someday I'd love to pick up a 123, or it's bigger brother the M125 prime mover.

I think they are the same size, just the 125 has a bed. I got to see one at the mechanized museum at Pendleton once. Probably a pic around here somewhere.

You could be right, the only time I've seen the two together is in this pic and while the 125 looks larger it might just be the camera angle.

36" DBH red oak died last winter. I will be harvesting it this fall in addition to several other 24-30+" red and white oaks that recently expired. Currently waiting for my MS661 to come back from Scott Kunz @tree monkey. That will be a perfect felling and bucking saw for these bigger oaks.
