What I was saying about the swing, didn't happen due to premature closing of the face. I realized that now, with a few more years of cutten under my belt

Gotta be careful when cutting those that the whole cluster doesn't just spring back up.

I may have to do one of those daily timed photos to see how much the rootball moves. It will probably fall over when the temps go above freezing.

Today was another -20c so I decided to go and cut a truck load of Ironwood. A few really large 12” dia trees which is nice to see.

I was gonna ask whether you thought they were this years drops or last. It seemed about a month early for this year. Plus they are a bit chewed up. Porcupine? They must have been protected from the sun because they still have good color. Nice find!
