A guy probably had that out on his strip and knocked it up with the top of a tall stick or something. A couple times I've fell a good-sized one only see that "spray" in the distance from my gas jug getting wiped out.

Interesting logging all over the world. I love the different cable logging systems and techniques, especially in gnarly, extreme, hand-fell units.

It's a famous local story and I'm sure you've heard it, but Dancer went over to New Zealand in the 80's to teach several companies over there how to high-lead. I know he took some of his crew with him and actually spent time logging for the government there. I'd heard he had shipped over several pieces of equipment including a yarder.

I want one too. Technology on milli amp current adjustability is awesome. Our loaders use the same start of current, ending of current, and ramp up speed adjustability in the joysticks.Very cool features especially with different operators.

They might be more affordable then you think, worst case find an older 1010 a little bigger but they’re simple.

Most of the forwarder/harvesters have been that way since the 90’s it’s great till a joystick gets loose in the hips. It’s nice having the ability to setup different profiles for different operators there’s three of us in our company that can run our harvester and it’s all done differently. If I’m running it I have it setup to run sequential cutting where my hand don’t leave the joysticks other then to select a species or backup a length or advanced a length. Same machine different operator everything is automatic where you hit the saw button once it cuts, you tap the knives close it’ll feed to the length then buck. My other operator is 100% manual from cutting, feeding, and bucking. Between the three profiles everything is different mine the feed rates are on the upper end of the scale around 19 to 20 feet a second where another is around 3 feet per second.

Yes sir, The adjustability has even progressed to dozers as far as steering, shifting, and work equipment responsiveness. Love the technology and keeping it working error free can at times be challenging. I was surprised to see so much wrapped up in this small scale forwarder, harvestor??

It’s a machine that really needs it if you’re going to use electrical joysticks instead of pilots. The European manufacturers of the smaller equipment really like to pack a lot of extra stuff on there to help justify a small machine with a higher price tag.
