Yeah doing some work on the home place getting some export out and domestic so far they haven’t said a word about slowing down. Only one near us that’s shut down right now but I think all of their mills are shut down right, I’m still amazed how many ships are coming to get logs still during this whole thing.

Well, I made it back to work on Monday. A little early, but my collarbone seems to be healing quite well. I was doing plenty around the place. I haven’t had any problems cutting with it, just being careful. Getting work while we have it. We are cut ahead of all the yarders by quite a bit.

I always enjoy seeing the old stumps.The tty70 is ripping the windfalls right out of the ground with some authority. We bucked most of them off though, or left a log attached.

It looks like they Guy-ed that stump when they were last logging that unit, probably in the 80's (judging by the age of the timber). How big of a tower do they run on the TTY70? 45'?

From memory the the numbers on the end are the footage of the boom or the tube. Take a TSY 255 the boom would be 55’ Tracks Swing Yarder.

Since a majority of the mills are closing temporarily closing , my buddy is making a 3 hour drive north to Tillamook one way to get rid of sticks, he is happy to be working still.

The domestic side is sure taking a hit and if they’re not careful pulp will end up sky high and no one will be working to meet the demand.
