Do you guys get much trouble with wasps nests in the stumps of trees
We always get wasps nesting in the buttresses of Sitka spruce roots
Not necessarily in the stump, but lots of wasps, hornets, and yellow-jackets out in the woods, that’s for sure!

Those underground nests suck especially one that you don’t see till it’s too late, do you guys use bee bopper or just some good old gas down the hole?

One of our jobs last summer we had 10 underground nests on the landing and about every 200 feet a nest in the brush plus my all time favorite the nests in the gates.

Just a little taste of every morning at that job.

We use both. Gas if we don’t have bee spray. I try to have some spray in my backpack in the summer. We had a job this summer where we got into 8 nests in just a few short hours. It makes a guy a little paranoid.

Is it just me or does some of the newer bee sprays just seem to piss them off vs actually kill them?

Some definitely seem a little watered down. I probably use too much every time, but I’d rather have ample coverage in those situations, lol.
Or you can shoot the paper nests with a shotgun like @HYPERSAWS
