With as violent as it sounded, I wouldn't be surprised. Didnt they have flywheel side bearing problems.

Early on the 385 did but that was a relatively short window in the production run. They got substandard bearings from a supplier (much like the fiasco
Stihl had for a while with the 046 on the PTO side). They were able to nip it in the bud quickly. The big issue I heard about with the 390 early on was
mounting ears on the cylinders breaking off. They got that one taken care of as well with the updated cylinder.

Yeah, I should have said that I don’t believe I have ever seen one. Not many six-wheeled skidders around here.

We've got a few to pull with the skidder that are close to the school. That'll do enough, no need to kick the bees nest to much.

Do you guys get much trouble with wasps nests in the stumps of trees
We always get wasps nesting in the buttresses of Sitka spruce roots
