We are unclear who's dog he is, but he is extremely friendly.
I just call him"boy".

The cat is sensing the dogs discomfort, most definitely!
We have three cats and they come up to our pup when she is having her hormone cycle and feeling down, they lick her snout and cuddle up with her - it is a too cute thing to watch!
