My mom's pup Heidi is completely freaking out.
Her whole body is trembling, she is breathing heavily and erratic, and she keeps whining and whimpering.
SHE DOES NOT LIKE THE FIREWORKS AND FIRECRACKERS my neighbors are firing from the public street up the hill towards my house!!!
We can't even place her in one of the rooms not facing the street as she won't stay there, poor thing is looking for human contact/protection.
This will be an awful long night for her.

She completely freaked out, she grabbed a hold of anything in paws reach with claws the size I've never seen on her before.

Looks like an over sized chest harness that is extending over the dogs back and under the chest and tummy.
If it works, cool.
Heidi calmed most when her ears were covered by hands, cushions and/or blankets.
I may look into getting one of those things though, I love her too much to have her be scared like that again.
She is a very calm pup generally, so far she never showed abandonment anxiety stress symptoms.
She is extremely playful, I had her squeaking mouse under my slipper .

Got my nova back home. I had her cremated. We had these two dogs at the same time and made a decision that we would have them cremated so they would always be with us. Sure do miss them both.

We have never been without a dog untill our dog nova had to be put down and this past few weeks i really reallized how important our fur friends are to us. So today we decided to go looking and found our new fur baby. Meet our new boy Remy (short for remington haha)

My neighbor just got a new puppy as well. He said they are as much work as a baby. The puppy stage passes and before you know it they follow you everywhere and are happy to see you when you get home.

Stair training. He will go up no problem but were working on the down. He wont go from very top but set him down one step and he will with a little coaxing. Maybe tomorrow. He is coming a long ways already.
He decided to go for a swim today in the little fish pond. Was a little skiff of ice and he went running on it when i wasnt looking and splash. Never a dull moment with a puppy.
