The best Chainsaw soap and what ratio ?

I use Mean Green straight for wiping down saws and bars or 50:50 In the usc. I also use simple green as a everyday cleaner. The wax I use is a secret!

Ok when i take a sticker off my saw to replace with a fresh one ,it leaves the glue behind ,it just smears ,what kind of soap to get that off ? Or will a razor blade scrape it off ?

WD-40 just works for sticker glue.

Good idea ,i can put some of my blue goo on it ,let it harden up and rip the glue off like a bikini wax .

Wd40 will take it off

i run simple green fairly weak in the USC and anything else is done with copulas amounts of brake cleaner.

This is what I switched to and love it. I spray on and let it soak for 2-3 minutes. Then wipe off with a rag. Works about as good as brake clean and compressed air, but I don't worry about fading out plastic or wiping away stickers. The brake clean also burns like hell when you spray it into a cut or gets behind my wedding ring.

I like the ratio of $1.50 at the car wash, then I go home and oil/grease moving parts. Sharpen/adjust the chain and she's ready to go for the next outing.

I clean greasy parts with a brush in my parts washer (kerosene), and mostly use compressed air. I never spray any liquid anything on a saw.

I use super concentrated dawn, the purple stuff. Takes the trime right off. Just a squirt in the sink with 160* water and let the parts soak for a bit, then brush clean. Rinse and repeat if needed. Every saw I have done this with has looked like new.

Old habits die hard. Left over from my dirt biking days, I just use pre-mix. It washes things up and will penetrate into cracks and threads - leaving a bit of oil behind for long term protection.

I hate it when a bearing or thread gets corroded from water cleaning and pressure washing is the worse for pushing water into those small places.

WD40 or Rem oil makes easy work of it!

Snow and diesel! Snow for mild abrasive action. Diesel really is one of the best solvents. Make muh saw smell like muh tractor!
