Well worth the wait I'm sure. Nothing like a new well worked over chainsaw.

It was a new saw that somehow got stripped of a bunch of parts. Corey sent most everything with it, but a few small piece still had to be gotten. First it barely missed one batch of 395s, then when I did the next one, I realized it needed a few smalls. Just got delayed a few times. Turned out really great though. Looks like a brand new unit.

Ya it has basicly been a 3 year quest. Got the saw almost 2 years ago and spent 8 months getting the striped pieces. Well worth the time for a dream saw.
I won't tell everyone what I actually have in the saw because this would just turn into the world's largest YOU SUCK! thread.

Lol yeah back in the day when I was a Stihl Tech. Our rep came by to put in our spring order, I was on my lunch break so I had my 395 on the bench swapping out rims and the rep stuck his head in there and asked what the heck that junk was I was working on. I told him it ate 660 ' s and *s-wordted out 440's
That's how Stihl makes the 440's in the first place!
They just are not allowed to advertise it that a 660 digested by a 395 dissolves all the faulty/low quality Chinese made parts and creates 440's. :p

Nope, I'm neither Stihl nor Husqvarna oriented . . .

That’s the nice thing about big huskies, sometimes you can get the carcasses/junk pile parts fairly cheap if you look hard enough and that helps with the overall cost. Sounds like your gonna have a really nice saw and your hard work payed off . That makes it all worthwhile.

Well for the masterwork, shipping, parts, and saw I am still sub $500.
The saw carcass was brand new never even started. Got some story that it got damaged in shipping busting the top cover and snapping a corner of the top cylinder fin off. Making the saw "unsellable and unusable "
So they striped it down to the case and the jug. All the other parts got replace and put in the box. Then sent to masterminds.

Ok I couldn't take it anymore. Have a small oak that I wanted to cut up anyways so grabed the two older girls and tore it up in seconds. The best part my #2 minion was videoing and by the sound on the video she is more excited then me.
