My initial impression of that film is that the patient is wayyyyyyy past the due date to have those 3rds done / evaluated. 16 years old is ideal for a pile of reasons. Tough row to hoe but itd be worse every day u wait until doing em at 70 which really sux..... sorry man.

Well, I happened upon another test of the covers while not even trying to do so. Was disposing of them in the burn barrel and as I checked on it noticed the flames touched the Mattyo cover first the AM cover last and the stock cover in the in between. The Mattyo was last to burn through, the first being the AM cover which melted like a candle and burnt.
So I find it quite plausible that a Mattyo cover could help save your saw's components if caught in a fire.

Just like I'm sure the extra thickness didn't hurt either, but you could really see that there was three different materials at play here.
While fire probably doesn't even make the list of quality's wanted in a top cover, I do think we may see, or not see that they have less muffler melt issues possibly. Now that would be a good quality to have.
At any rate was just an observation, nothing scientific actually transpired, seemed noteworthy none the less.
